Over the years, we have come across many quotations from other companies that initially appeared cheaper. However, after a detailed comparison, it turned out that some of the materials had simply not been included.
What Can Make a Quotation Cheaper?
1. Metal Thickness
For example, sometimes a different metal thickness is used in the offer, even though the customer is simply comparing “metal roofing”.
2. Different Coatings and Warranties
A material with a 20-year warranty cannot automatically be compared with a material that comes with a 40-year warranty. They may look almost identical, but their specifications and prices can be different.
3. Incorrect Calculation of the Required Material Quantity
This is especially important when roofing material is manufactured individually according to the dimensions of your roof. An error in the calculation can lead to an additional order, another delivery and unnecessary extra costs.
4. Not All Roofing Elements Are Included in the Quotation
Ridge caps, valleys, flashings, connection elements, fasteners, membranes and other components may simply be missing from the initial calculation.
5. Incorrectly Calculated Gutter System
The number of gutters, downpipes and other components should also correspond to the specific roof. If part of the system is not included, the final price will naturally be lower.

“We chose another company because they were cheaper.”
But when we look at the quotation together, it turns out that some items are simply missing.
